Notes for Eli Sellers
He lived at home with his mother and younger brothers85, page 14, dwelling 92, family 92, (microfilm page 826),84, page 184, dwelling 999, family 999 and didn't marry until he was in his late 40s. When he did marry, it was a woman 25 years his junior.

He served in the Civil War. He enlisted as a private in Company C, 37th NC Infantry, CSA on 20 Sept 1864. He was discharged due to disability on 5 Mar 1865.26 (He suffered from chronic rheumatism - he was 45 years old, after all.)
