| Notes for Lawson H. Black | ||||||||||
| He is believed to have been killed fighting
for the Confederacy in a Texas Regiment. When Lawson's father Samuel Simpson Black died in 1882, L.H. Black was named as the heir to Lawson's portion of the estate. From the wording of the estate papers, it appears that L. H. was the only son of Lawson. L.H. was living in Pope County, Arkansas at the time of his grandfather's death.318 Read more on the Black family. |
