In 1881 he worked as a laborer on the
estate "the Lings", which belonged to a retired brewer. In
addition to his wife and young daughters, he also had a
married daughter (but not her husband) living with him, and
a grandson named Freddie Merrills467, piece 4697, folio 51, page
4. We do not know who Freddie's parents were.
Presumably his father was a son of Thomas.
In 1891, Freddie and his youngest daughter were still with
him294. He was
listed as a widower. |
