Henry was a Quaker.

He and his son Obediah were recorded as paid "for smith's work" in the accounts of the estate of Stephen Townes.438, p. 65, 66 In his will, he makes sure to provide for his son Hezekiah, who was said to be "of unsound mind". He left his blacksmith's tools to a grandson.
