Will of Philip Anthony
dated 27 September 1796
In the Name of God Amen I Philip Anthony of Lincoln County Stad of of (sic) North Carolina being Sik and weak in body but per- fect of Mind and Memory thank be geven unto god there -fore Calling into mind the Mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die Do make and ordain this my last Will testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recomend my Soul into the hands of Almighty god that give it and My body I recomand to the Earth to be Buried in _______ Christian burial at the Disc??tion of my execators nothing doubting but w______ ____ ___ ____ _____ I Shall receve the Sam again by the Mighty power of god and as touching such Worldly Este where with it hath pleased god to bless me in this Life I give Demise and dispose of the Same in following Maner and form.
I do give and bequeath Barabara My beloved Wife her Bed and all the kitchen furniture her Satle and the Big Mare with her filly, also Tow Cows and tow haffers to Chuse oud of my Stock, and after my Lafull Depts be paid, all my Rety mony Nods and Bonds for own youse in her livetime, and after her De sease the Remainder if any to be equily devidet to all her Chiltern I also give her all the remainder of her father's Estate Due to me to do with as she Pleasses.
item I give and bequath to my son John my Nirnburger Bibla and two hundred acres of Land lying on both sides of Clerk's Creek where he now Twelleth also two tracks of land Lying on Bott?? of the Lickfork exept one hundred acres to be run of with a straight Line on the North side.
item I give my Two sons Paul and Philip my Book Callet the Trompet of Everlasting furth er to my son paul Twi hundred and forty seven acres Lying on the Est side of Bodses Creek where he now Twelleth.

item I give to my son George my bass ler Bible my house Clock the larch Copper kitle the still and a Bed wich is Coming from Pennsylvania , where Daniel Shall have a right to Still his ouwn craneour?> treed?> . also the Trackt of land where I nou Twell it is to begin where the Creek in old Line Running Down the North Side of the Creck to a Branch running from southward in the Creck then Crossing and runing a Straigth Course to the old line then with sd line to kingerichs Corner then Down to the Creek then along the Creek to a Branch runing in from the Noth then Crossing the Creek and runing along sd Branch a straight Cou rse thr?? both Trackts to the oud line.
item I give to my son Daniel my Book the True Christian also all the land lying on Both sids of the Creek be low the abov mentionet line with a hundred acres lining the same.
item I give to my son Benjamin my Book Zion's Gospel. also a Trackt of land lying on the south Side Runing with Georges line to the old line then all?? contains in sd line with a Trackt of Ninty acres Jining it also a hundred acres of the Lickfork Trackt to be run of as above mention
item I give to my daughter Frances three childern the Node of one hundred & Eleven Pounds Seventeen Shillings with as much more money to be livied and of my Estate until it amounts to Two hundred & twe- nty five Pounds I also ortain my two sons George and Daniel for these three above men- tionet Childern to Divide abov Sum in Equal Sheers wen comes a ___
Item I give to Barbara for her maintanance a tract of land being inter Two Deeds one of Daniel Kingry the other of John Harman and that Tract of land lying between Kingry and the creck I also ortain my two sons George and Daniel as Garteens (sic) to take the same in there hands and lieb of her Ne ssions of thier Sister and her Childern and after sd Barbara desease to be Equily Divided to her Childern,
item I give to Magtalena a hunding Satle and two hundred & forty seven acres giving paul and Philib their moneys, and if my son Daniel begins to Bild on his land then his mother is to give him Twenty Pounds in mony.
I also give to the Imanuels church the yuse full vessels for holting the Lords Supper to be leviet out of Estate.
I also orter that my loose goods to be Equily Dividet but so that Frances & Barbara to be left in the Garteens -
I also constitute make and ortain my beloved sons George and Daniel Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. Septem. 27th 1796.
