Will of Thomas Lackey
dated 30? July 1841

In the name of God amen I Thomas Lackey being in low state of health at present but perfect in mind and memory doe call to mind that it is apointed for man to die doe make and ordain This my last will and testament

1st I will that my body be Laid away in a decent manner at the descrecion of my executors

2nd? I will that all my just dets be paid

3 I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret Lackey as much of my plantation with the improvements As will supporte her hir lifetime also hir own negroes that came by hir and her own beast and as much household and kitchen furniture as will be Necessary for her with as much of my stock of cattle hogs and sheep and at her decese what remains to be sold and equilly divided among the lawful heirs of her body

4th I will that glascow continew the smith shop heare During my wifes life ?? I will that all my cash Notes to the amount of thirteen hundred dollars or their about to be collected or divided equally among my lawful heirs

July 3? 1841

I will and ordain my son in Law Joseph Thompson and James Lacky my Executors.
